Our Mission

MISSION STATEMENT
Our Sheriff's Office is dedicated to making Pacific County a safe place to work, live, and play with the resources provided.
VISION STATEMENT
Our community will recognize the Pacific County Sheriff's Office as a progressive leader and trusted community partner working to make Pacific County a safe, secure and productive place for people to work, live and go to school.

We will have a solid reputation for respecting individual rights while aggressively pursuing criminals, arresting drug dealers and enforcing the law.

We will be known for operating a tough, no-frills jail that is clean, meets humanitarian needs and saves the taxpayer dollars.

We will be acknowledged for our commitment to make Pacific County a better place to live and an uncomfortable place for people who break the law.
The Pacific County Sheriff's Office proudly serves all unincorporated outlying areas of Pacific County. The area served is geographically unique including many square miles of forested timberland as well as countless tributaries, waterways and ports. This creates a unique challenge for providing law enforcement services to all areas we encompass.

To better serve the citizens of our jurisdiction, we maintain a substation located within the county services building at 7013 Sandridge Road in the Long Beach area of Pacific County. The main office of the Sheriff is located adjacent to the Pacific County Courthouse in South Bend. At 300 Memorial Drive, our office maintains a fully functional correctional facility located above the main office of the Sheriff. The Jail is supervised by the Chief Criminal Deputy.

The Sheriff's Office provides a wide range of regular services to the public. Law enforcement services include patrol work, answering calls for service, criminal investigation of misdemeanor and felony crimes, traffic enforcement services, drug interdiction, and collision investigations. Our office manages sex offender registration and tracking.

The support services division is supervised by the Chief Civil Deputy. Services provided include budget management, payroll, records, civil process and orders, forest product harvesting and hauling permit issuance, clerical support, concealed pistol license application and issuance, public disclosure, property and evidence, and daily answering of office telephones for questions and direction.

The Sheriff oversees a fully functional emergency 911 communications center located in South Bend. The center is tasked with fielding and dispatching law enforcement related complaints as well as emergency services and fire related incidents. The communications center is supervised by the E-911 Director with a staff of two Lead Telecommunicators and ten Telecommunicators.

The Sheriff's Office also maintains an emergency management division that is supervised by the Emergency Management Director. The division's main goal is to coordinate the four phases of emergency management (mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery) coupled with protecting the people, property, and environment of Pacific County.

The Sheriff's Office utilizes a Reserve Deputy program to better assist the Office in delivering the best possible service to the public.

The Pacific County Sheriff's Office enjoys the inter-agency cooperation it receives from other law enforcement agencies that operate within the county. Mutual Aid Agreements exist with Raymond Police Department, South Bend Police Department, Long Beach Police Department, and Shoalwater Bay Tribal Police Department.

As Sheriff, I am very proud of the men and women of this organization. It is our goal to provide you with effective and professional law enforcement services in a fiscally responsible manner.
-Sheriff Daniel Garcia
